Aluminium Window Brush Seal for Aluminum Profile Systems

In an aluminum window or door system, the brush seal is not a standalone product. The profile designer has already set a brush-seal slot with a fixed opening and depth, and the seal must fit that slot across every frame, sash and interlock profile in the series. Buyers in different markets call it aluminium window strip brush, aluminum profile brush seal, pile seal for aluminium windows or brush-seal weatherstripping. The requirement behind each name is the same: a pile seal that fits the slot defined in the profile drawing.

One aluminum window series often uses several brush seal sizes. The outer frame track, the sash perimeter and the interlock or meeting rail can each have a different slot and a different gap to close. Listing each position separately keeps the RFQ clear and stops one wrong size being applied across the whole series.

A profile drawing gives more reliable data than a product name. Before quotation we check three things for each slot: the slot opening against the backing width, the slot depth against the backing thickness, and the designed gap against the pile height after the sash is installed.

If a drawing is not available, a short cut section of the frame or sash profile, or a clear end-section photo beside a ruler, can be used instead. Once a slot is approved, we record its specification with the system series code so repeat orders for the same aluminum system use the same seal.

On a finished aluminum window, the brush seal is visible along the track and interlock. Black and grey cover most dark and silver finishes, white and brown suit white and wood-tone frames, and other colors can be matched when the buyer sends a frame sample, a finish photo or a color reference. Density is chosen together with pile height so the pile keeps contact at the interlock while the sash still slides without excessive resistance. Both are confirmed with a sample in the real profile.
