Start with the application

Tell the supplier whether the strip is used for aluminum windows, sliding doors, door bottoms, cabinets or repair channels. Application context helps separate groove-fit pile, finned pile and adhesive-backed brush seal.

Send measurable details

Useful RFQ details include base width, pile height, fin requirement, adhesive direction, color, roll length, target quantity and destination. Photos of the old strip and installation profile reduce guessing.

Explain the buying channel

Importers, distributors, OEM buyers and retail hardware channels may need different roll lengths, labels and carton marks. Share the sales channel early so packing can be included before quotation.

Confirm sample needs

If the product must fit an existing profile, request a sample before bulk order. A physical sample is the most practical way to check groove fit, movement resistance, adhesive performance and color.

RFQ information checklist

Before requesting price, prepare these details so the supplier can check size, packing, sample and repeat order feasibility.

  • Product type or current sample photo
  • Base width, pile height and fin requirement if applicable
  • Adhesive or non-adhesive installation method
  • Color, roll length and packing requirement
  • Target quantity and repeat order plan
  • Application photo, drawing or window profile detail
  • Destination country or port
