Clip Finned Pile Weatherstrip Matched to Your Profile Sample

Standard pile weatherstrip slides into the groove on a thin flat woven backing. Some profile systems were designed around a different base: a thicker reinforced backing or a shaped clip-style base that locks into a narrow opening. A flat strip in that groove can work loose or twist when the sash moves.

Clip finned pile combines that profile-specific base with a fin in the pile for an extra barrier. Because base shapes differ from one profile system to another, there is no universal clip size; each strip is matched to a sample.

The base shape is the critical part, so the end section matters more than the pile. Send what you have; a cut sample is best.

• A short cut piece of the old strip, or an end-section photo beside a ruler
• The profile drawing or a photo of the groove opening
• Pile height, fin height and whether the yarn is regular or siliconed
• Color of pile and backing
• Roll length, quantity and destination
