A self-adhesive strip has two parts to confirm. The pile part uses the same notation as groove pile: base width x pile height, for example 9x5 mm. The adhesive part is the tape laminated to the backing: its width, its grade and the liner.
Tape choice depends on the surface. A general double-sided tape suits clean painted, aluminum or laminate surfaces; buyers with a demanding surface or an existing approved product can name a specific branded tape grade, which is then written into the specification.
